Just by looking at the runway, you can tell there was a lot of feelings put into the Carven Fall 2014 show. The show featured a ton of great-looking forties-inspired clothes, but the special thing was a conjured state of mind and a certain mix of dislocation translated into glamor in the midst of war.

In terms of the clothing, bags and shoes the collection embraces a salmon-like pink color as the brand prepares for fall, while belted wool jackets and coats with rolling collars are a definite highlight.

Long-line suits and frocks also have a lot of appeal, but the silhouette may not prove as convincing to the Carven customer as the short, flared gray dress with a touch of crystal.
