'Carré d'étoiles' are star-friendly cube cabins complete with transparent roof domes and telescopes. The tiny French cubes will sleep four people. Each has a corner kitchen, toilet, shower, bed, and parquet floors. Amenities include MP3 player, telephone, and Internet hookups as well as a flat panel TV.

The little cabins are sprinkled on resorts around France where stargazing tourists can rent them. Cost to purchase one is about $25K EU.

Implications - Going stargazing for a few nights is definitely an interesting vacation that many people have never experienced. The featured video gives you a tour of the transparent sky-domed cabin and offers up an interesting interview with the designer. Even though the video is completely in French, you still get the idea of what is going on. Other resorts may adopt France's unique cabins to add a little something different to vacation getaways.
