The legendary brand Carhatt Vineyards sought a drastic package redesign for the company's line of premium wines. With the help of design firm Mark Oliver Inc., the brand accomplished just that. The vibrant label design pops against the otherwise understated bottle. Appearing in punchy hues of pink, orange and yellow, these clever illustrations set the mood for the wine housed inside.
Each of the wines' flavor profile is illustrated by a different animal. Inspired by traditional weathervanes, this vintage nod to tracking weather systems ties the brand to its historic origins. As with the variety of animals represented, each bottle of wine carries a different wind direction. The cabernet sauvignon is infused with a westerly breeze, while the rose boasts a northbound direction.
Colorful, clever and oddly traditional, the Carhatt Vineyards packaging redesign is clever and unforgettable.
