This falls firmly into the it is so ridiculous it works camp - and is indeed a trend that would be ridiculous amounts of fun to do yourself.

Sorry to state the obvious here but the car tent is a tent designed to look like a car, with a cover on it. Excitingly this means you can go camping in the city without being disturbed or discovered (unless you snore).

Wrap yourself in an artists sleeping bag (AKA roll yourself up in bubble wrap like a strange sausage) and your ready to rock. I suggest this not as bubble wrap is the best alternative sleeping in the World - just that I am working on the premise you would have more access to office supplies than a camping shop! I guess you could use this to snuggle up and wait for the first train. But I love the idea of camping in the city for the sheer adventure - it would be the most fun ever.

Sadly it appears the source for this brilliant idea is not credited so I can’t say where to get one from. Post comments if you do as I really want one of these!
