Captain Nemo Goes for the Calamari
[Edit]
Buy them books and send them to school, but they still want to try zapping everything from invasive ants to colossal squid. Things are not much different in New Zealand where a 1,089 lb. giant squid, the largest ever found to date, was caught and turned over to the national museum. Scientists believe that the creatures can thrive at 6,500 feet.
First, scientists froze it to preserve it, and then some little sadistic voice from childhood crept in and said “Nuke the beast.” One expert even estimated that if they made calamari out of it, the pieces would be the same size as tires from an 18-wheeler.
I wonder if one of its tentacles would stick if they put it on a metal lamp post?
