Dog owners take their dogs almost anywhere these days, including yoga class. According to Discovery News, doggy yoga is catching on in large metro areas, including New York, L.A., Seattle and Pittsburgh (ruh?). Here’s an excerpt from the totally serious AP news release: “Part of the class includes gentle stretching and dog massage ... but most of the time the humans gently use the dogs like yoga props. In downward facing dog, for example, the humans rest their heads on their companions, who are relaxing — napping? — on the mat.” I can’t even imagine what my black Lab would do if I did yoga while resting my head on her. Yet another way to separate pet owners from their money. I only wish I’d thought of it.
