Can Environmentalists Dance?

Piezoelectric Dance Floor in a Sustainable Dance Club|
Imagine all the energy waisted when the crowd dances for hours in a little space, sweating til the sun comes up on the exhausted dancers. The “Sustainable Dance Club” in Rotterdam in the Netherlands has decided to power itself from the stampering dance crowds by implenting a piezoelectric dance floor. A piezoelectric dance floor is a dance floor where the power of the jumps of the dancers is turned into electricity. This is not the only “green” thing being done in the club. They also use rainwater toilets, offer biological beer and the club has walls which change colour according to the heat generated inside the club. So you maybe you can party and be sustainable at the same time. Source: enviu.org Via: news.bbc |
