Calypso is the latest work from photographer and artist Luca Meneghel, where he fuses together two mediums in an engaging manner.
A model stands behind a curtain, allowing viewers to see her silhouette and face at times. On the front of the curtain artist Norma Nardi has painted on various patterns that complement the model's form. Overall it almost looks like the drawings were added after the photo was taken in the editing room, as it creates a surreal effect. As DesignBoom so aptly puts it: "the depth of the draperies combined with the two-dimensional brushstrokes that compliment the contours of the model result in a set of surreal photographs to embody the idea that multiple mediums can collaborate for works of art."
