Cactaceae by X Studio, a design firm based in Mexico and founded by Iván Juárez, is a geometric shelter that was inspired by its surroundings. In particular, it takes cues from the shape and function of cacti. Lying low to the ground and full of sharp edges, it is certainly an abstract take on the desert foliage. Nevertheless, through its influence, the futuristic shelter provides the right sanctuary in such a setting.
Located in the desert of the Tropic of Cancer in Mexico, Cactaceae by X Studio is made out of a metal frame. The muted panels that keep the heat of the sun's rays from penetrating inside boasts primitive patterns that are beautiful to behold.
