Buy a PC and Plant a Tree - Dell Helps Carbon Fund

During the Consumer Electronic Show held in Las Vegas, Michael S. Dell, the chairman of the computer company he founded, announced that his company is worried about the electronic devices production impact on the environment.
They will start the “Plant a Tree for Me” program with Carbonfund.org, a non-proft organization that fights global warming. Every time customers buy a DELL notebook or desktop PC, they donate $2 or $6 according to the product, which will be used to buy and plant trees that may offset carbon emissions.

"Mr. Dell said the trees would absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, offsetting the equivalent emissions from the production of electricity for computers over three years."
“I challenge every PC vendor in the industry to join us in providing free recycling,” Mr. Dell said. “This is a better way than government regulation.”
