Buffalo Stance rework hits the street

With reference to all things 80’s which seems to be the direction for autumn/winter 2007/08 look to Ray Petri’s “Buffalo” style as an important source of inspiration.

This time round the focus is on the glamorisation of streetwear, creating a mixture of offbeat textural layering.

Essentially a menswear street look, layered tailoring has been developed into a directional womenswear story for autumn/winter 2007/08. Picked up from the Marc Jacobs autumn/winter 2006/07 catwalk collection, the look has been feminised but still kept androgynous enough to be modern and directional.

The Buffalo gang…Judy Blame first rose to fame as one of photographer Ray Petri’s fashion tribe, and went on to become a stylist for Neneh Cherry, Boy George and Björk. He is currently designing for the Louis Vuitton 2007 Cruise collection.
