Not only did Britney Spears just score her first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 song since “...Baby One More Time”, she has done so in Superstar style.

Womanizer by Britney Spears makes a mind-boggling record-breaking 96-1 jump to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. That is the biggest jump in the whole history of the Billboard charts.

Britney Spears has only had one #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 before, her debut single “...Baby One More Time”, which reached No. 1 in January 1999. So it’s safe to say Britney Spears is back stronger than ever and is on top of the charts.

For chart geeks who want to know the numbers, the huge jump for Womanizer was fueled by a staggering first-week download sales of 286,000 resulting in the biggest download opening-week for a female artist. Britney Spears now takes that title away from Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body”.
