Coming Back From Disaster - Britney Spears Wins First VMA Award, and 2nd, and 3rd (VIDEO)

Looking better than ever Britney Spears made a triumphant return to this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMA awards).  At the awards, Britney captured her first award, and second, and third.

Last year the Britney Spears VMA award performance was a lip syncing disaster. Since that time, there has been a lot of chaos in the young starlet’s life.  Accordingly, many were speculating about what sort of involvement Spears would have at this year’s show.

Unfortunately, Britney Spears did not return to perform.  Instead she was part of an opening comedy sketch and then she came on stage to open opened the VMAs by noting, “This is a special birthday, the 25th MTV Video Music Awards.”

Then she was gone giving the stage over to Rihanna.

Later in the show, Spears won for best female video for “Piece of Me.” Then she won again, and again. In the past, Britney has been nominated 16 times without a single victory.
