Britney Spears paid off the woman she crashed into with her car and beat the rap. She still faces a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license for the August 6th car accident. She has since gotten a driver’s license so her lawyer is arguing the court should throw out the misdemeanor charge.

She returns to court tomorrow to battle for her kids with her ex Kevin Federline.

 Michael Flanagan, her lawyer, told reporters outside the courthouse that a plea deal in the driving case isn't necessary because Spears has since obtained a license. (She didn't have one at the time of the hit-and-run because the camera didn't work when she went to the DMV, he says.) "She got a license, she has insurance, has always had insurance," he tells the wire service. "The question is is probation really necessary?" (blogs.usatoday)
