Matter's bright print pants are inspired by travels and are dedicated to transparency. The new brand debuts a collection of brightly printed pants, to which a new socially motivated business is carried out that aims to document every step of the products' journey.
From being dyed to woodblock-printed in Jaipur, stitched and finished in New Delhi and woven in Bihar on handlooms, there's a story behind each type of print, carver, printer, weaver and craftsperson involved, many of whom are working from rural homes.
Thanks to Matter's India-based social enterprise production, partnered workers can get out of the factory and work from home where comfort and serenity fuels creativity. If you're a fan of shibori dying, Matter is right up your alley.
