The Brazilians have found some whimsical ways to liven up their storm drains. SAO! and Delufuent teamed up to create 6emeia, a project that involves painting the streets of Sao Paulo.

Implications - Graffiti artists create street art to express their perspective on pervasive social issues and make a subversive statement; this storm drain compares the pollutants that enter the drain to cigarette smoke entering a person's lungs. Businesses can use this practice to their advantage by creating revolutionary and rebellious campaigns in outdoor public spaces. The most successful of these ambient campaigns will also take a gritty social or activist tack to inspire a reaction from passersby and guarantee attention.
