Botany by Andrew Rae, an illustrator living and working in London, England, is a series of artworks revolving around different types of plant life. But this isn't one's typical set of textbook illustrations, although the style is slightly retro enough to pass off as such when it comes to casual observers. Instead, each plant has been given character features such as eyes, facial hair and other body parts.

In a way, Botany by Andrew Rae would be the perfect series for a children's book. Of course, there are some inappropriate parts that would have to be censored. Hilariously, It's Nice That points out how the series brings to mind a scene from 'Notting Hill' in which a woman exclaims, "I can’t, I’m a fruitarian, and this carrot has in fact been murdered."
