Sperry Brings Back Nautical Footwear With a Bang for S/S '09

Summer is approaching, and what better way is there to spend it than to have fun at the beach and do a little boating? Fashion designers are mimicking this favorite summer pastime and relaunching the classic boat shoe in new and interesting ways. 

Sperry has been making all-American boating shoes since 1935 and actually “invented the first boat shoe for sailors,” according to their website. Because of Sperry’s long-standing history in the nautical world, it is no surprise that Sperry has an awesome selection of plaid, bright colors and classic designs. 

Boating shoes are a great for summer; they’re light and comfortable but also fashionable. Who says you need a boat to throw on a pair of boating shoes?
