The BMW i3 Coupe is the sportier version of the company's upcoming i3 electric hatchback.

The coupe version is currently on display at the 2012 LA Auto Show. The i3 Coupe is noticeably different from its four-door sibling. The newest member of the i family has only two doors and sports a sleek body made entirely of carbon fiber. Giving the electric coupe its go is an electric engine good for 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The cabin is made using sustainable materials, although it does look a bit bare by BMW's luxurious standards.

The BMW i3 Coupe may not make it into production, so it's best to check it out here before the company locks it away forever or crushes it. Hopefully they go with the former. Stats for Juiced-Up Luxury Hatchbacks Trending: Older & Average
