"BMW does believe that oil production will peak sooner rather than later; that the cost of petroleum-based fuels will rise and that the cost of hydrogen will drop, at least relatively speaking. Instead of fuel cells, which convert hydrogen to electrical energy to power motors, it believes the internal combustion engine (ICE) running on hydrogen is the best, or at least quickest, way to a hydrogen-based transportation system. Next May, BMW will lease 100 hydrogen-gasoline 7 Series sedans to opinion leaders in politics, culture, sport, business and science for up to six months. The Hydrogen 7, as the car is called, will be seen in selected cities, including London, Los Angeles, Berlin, Milan, Tokyo and Washington." - The Toronto Star
