Even though pizza is typically considered a savory food, many have used the pie as inspiration for fruity and dessert versions, even going as far as inventing the blueberry pizza. Food blogger Jessica was inspired to create the recipe after trying to order a similar pizza on vacation. The seasonal pie features a crust made from scratch. In addition to blueberries, whipped ricotta and shallots, the pizza also requires ingredients like brown sugar, minced garlic cloves, lemon zest, grated mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and fresh thyme. The result is a fruity and cheesy delight you won't soon forget.
