Since rooftop gardens are no longer fresh news, it appears that designers and architects are looking for ways to spruce these designs up, including the the Blok K building. Instead of mimicking a more man made, plateau sort of landscape, this rooftop is inspired by nature with a rolling hill aesthetic.

Designed by NL Architects, the Blok K building is located in Amsterdam. Aside from its undulating and grassy surfaces, Blok K also boasts a ton of windows along its sides and on its roof, allowing a lot of natural light to seep into the building. Considering that it will be home to 500 apartments, residents would certainly appreciate these environmentally conscious and healthy details.
