Bikram Yoga or ‘Hot Yoga’ is a challenging and beneficial practice. A typical class consists of 26 poses and breathing techniques all performed in a a room heated at 40 degrees celsius. Concentrating on breathing helps you adjust to the room temperature and allows the release of toxins from your body. After a 90 minute class, you will leave feeling pounds lighter (because of the profuse perspiration and completely rejuvenated. Be sure to drink plenty of water and do not consume solids 3 hours prior to attending a class.
