Big Foot and the Olympics might be in the headlines, but it was Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres’s wedding story that graced the coveted cover of People magazine this week. I can’t imagine the staff at People are all that happy with the timing of the wedding, as national hero Phelps scooped up yet another gold on the very same weekend. The amount of viewers watching Phelps swim for his eighth gold was over 66 million people, and the words Bigfoot and Big Foot exceeded all other search terms last week, but People magazine had already committed to the de Rossi/DeGeneres coverage.
