Francisca Prieto's 'Between Folds' Shakespeare Project

Between Folds is a gorgeous paper installation by artist Francisca Prieto. Showing at London's Jaggedart Gallery, 'Between Folds' shows meticulous origami-style papercrafts arranged in eye-catching designs.

Francisca Prieto used envelopes and works by Shakespeare in the installation. All of the detailed folded forms within a single piece are interlocking. For the Shakespeare series of 'Between Folds,' Prieto used every page from 'The Complete works of Shakespeare,' a 1,300 page book.

Implications - I think it's safe to say that we all went through Shakespeare in school, with varying degrees of interest. Thanks to Hollywood, many of us have seen Shakespeare movies modernized for story and context. Regardless, it's hard not to have a strong level of artistic appreciation for someone who utilizes a classic text in this creative way.
