Jonathan Saunders and Louise Golding, together with Marios Schwab, Christopher Kane, Todd Lynn and Richard Nicoll are all young and highly talented UK designers. What they have in common is the fact they have all accepted to collaborate with The Boutique, a cobranding project promoted by Topshop, leader in UK street fashion market.
All the designers have created (or are going to create) special capsule collections exclusively for The Boutique.
Louise Goldin’s new SS 2008 collection designed for Topshop has been disclosed online a few days ago. She proposes seven sexy knit mini-dresses in geometric and bright color patterns. All priced below 100 pounds.
Second in the pipeline comes Jonathan Saunders seven pieces line, reminding modern and surrealist prints.
Forthcoming: Schwab, Kane, Lynn and Nicoll
All this reminds me of the Ikea philosophy: design for everyone. Maybe it’s time for extensions to other industries.
