These Healthy Cupcakes are Rich in Beneficial Minerals

The 'My Name is Yeh' blog recently published a recipe for black sesame cupcakes, which are rich in beneficial minerals. Although black sesame seeds are not very common in North America, the ingredient is actually one of the oldest condiments known to man. This recipe used black sesame seeds to make delicious and healthy cupcakes.

Although the recipe may sound exotic, most of the ingredients are the same as that of a traditional cupcake recipe. To make the batter, the black sesame seeds are first toasted and then ground in a spice grinder to create a fine crumb-like texture. The sesame seeds crumbs are then added to the cake batter. Tahini is also added to enhance the nutty taste of the sesame seeds. Once fully baked, the cupcakes are topped with a delicious matcha buttercream frosting.

The black sesame cupcakes are not only delicious, but they are also rich in beneficial minerals such as manganese, magnesium and copper. The result is a tasty dessert with a nutritious kick.
