Nokia Morph Demonstrates Wearable Technology|
Nokia and University of Cambridge researchers have teamed up to demonstrate flexible, bendable electronics technology they have named Morph. One version of the Morph technology could be used as a wearable bracelet cell phone. In addition to flexible materials, it also demonstrates other features via nanotechnology, such as transparent circuits and self-cleaning surfaces. And it is not just limited to phones. It could be used for a number of other devices, such as MP3 players or even cameras and hand-held computers. Although still in the prototype stage, Nokia expects to be able to use at least some of the Morph technology in their products within the next few years. If you can’t wait, you can see it as part of the “Design and the Elastic Mind” exhibition underway through May 12 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Via: news |
