Selfies have reached maximum saturation, and people are looking for new ways to transfer their likenesses into the digital space; Bellus3D Face Camera is a new device that promises to do just that. The smartphone attachment can quickly create impressively accurate and high quality 3D selfies of its users' faces.

Though Bellus3D Face Camera works with normal smartphones, it's a very distinct piece of equipment. The camera is currently in its prototype phase, and so its hardware is uncovered and utilitarian in appearance. Even if the camera were housed in an aesthetic casing, the device still stands out because of its ring light that provides optimal lighting for the face scan.

Bellus3D Face Camera uses two proprietary technologies to scan faces: DepthShape and PhotoShape, which assess contour and texture, respectively. Together, these systems record 500,000 points on users faces to create the 3D selfies.
