Animated Advertising For Beijing Olympics - BBC Sport's Olympics Monkey (VIDEO)

The BBC Sport department has debuted a cool animated video campaign to promote its coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which start on 08.08.08. Artists Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn from the band Gorillaz produced the super cool animation and music.

The manga-style spot is based on the traditional Chinese folklore ‘Journey to the West’. It follows Monkey on his journey to the Beijing National Stadium Bird’s Nest, where he puts the Olympic flame on. On his journey, Monkey meets numerous foes and enemies, but with the help of a cute pig and other friends, he defeats them and arrives safely with his entourage.
