Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec designs a beaded jewelry collection called 'Perles,' which is composed of a series of trapezoidal links forming necklaces. The philosophy behind the collection is a simple module that can be repeated an infinite amount of times to create something new, much like a pearl.

The design team often works with this strategy and each collection becomes seemingly more progressive than the next, steering clear from typical necklace materials. For example, stones are used based on the team's fascination with primitive jewelry.

Each piece is made up of three-dimensional trapezoidal-shaped stones that are joined together. The collection comes in three sizes and three different colors: white, red and black. Each necklace looks futuristic and yet maintains a dainty appeal when worn.
