At New York Fashion Week, BCBG Max Azria demonstrated a typically soft and feminine line for spring/summer 2009. Trends to note for next spring from this collection are the soft colours such as the dusty peaches and greys. In contrast the cobalt blue, sapphire pink and carnelian oranges are key jewel tones when you need that extra oomph.
As for shoes, ankle height dominates. The key look is the just-below-the-ankle cut, almost boot-like, with a peep-toe or other form of opening that keeps it looking more like a sandal for the warm days.
Hair is straight, centre parts are in and bangs are out.
Worth noting is that the unfortunately hideous jodhpur pants (saggy hips and tapered ankles) are still making an appearance on the runway.
