 Real Batmobile on eBay We’ve used to term “Batmobile” loosely in the past, using it to describe futuristic carts that remind us of Batman’s supercar, but this beauty is actually an original from the 1980 movie, and it’s on eBay for a staggering $500,000. It’s the actual car used on the set of the Batman flick featuring Micheal Keaton and Jack Nicholson. Sale of this car couldn’t have come at a better time with the recent marketing for the newest Batman movie, Dark Knight, as well as the fascination with superhero fashion. Check out the current exhibit at the Met:
 It is shaped like a spaceship that has had tires grafted onto it to make it street legal. The seller asserts that the car is 20 feet long and 8 feet wide. The chassis is custom built and the motor is a Chevrolet 350. And to get in this door-less vehicle, you have to be able to enter through the top where the canopy opens, just like in the movie. The Batman 5 has been sitting in the “Batcave” for almost five years now, and it is time for another Batman enthusiast to enjoy her as much as I have.
Being that this car originally was owned by Warner Bros productions it is important to note that the buyer will have to sign a contract with them and some other legal items.
