While some still argue it’s graffiti, urban art is reaching new levels because of an enigmatic English artist known as Banksy, who we have featured several times on Trend Hunter.
One of his pieces in on eBay now for $407, 587.47 (subject to change.) The deal with this piece, however, is that the winner has to remove the entire wall and haul it off. The experts are watching the auction with much interest because it could solidify Banksy as a bonafide artist.
“It is a demonstration of the changing art market that the eyes of the art world are on eBay eagerly watching the sale of a wall gratified by Banksy,” Bobby Read an art expert told The Times. “This sale confirms Banksy as a modern-day cross between Michelangelo and the Scarlet Pimpernel.”
