It should come as no surprise, after seeing the Band of Outsiders Pre-Fall 2012 collection, that the brand's Pre-Fall offering was inspired by the 1979 Woody Allen film 'Manhattan' starring Diane Keaton.
Band of Outsiders' designer Scott Sternberg explains to Style.com, "I was re-watching Manhattan for, like, the 15th time, and that way of dressing that you see in Diane Keaton's character -- corduroy suits, button-ups, a certain type of plaid, a high neck -- just seemed really fresh, or close to it."
Seemingly more put together than the brand's usual offerings, the Band of Outsiders Pre-Fall 2012 collection features peplum blouses and pleated skirts in plaid patterns. However, keeping with the label's youthful edge, the pieces are adorned with uneven hems, giving them an effortlessly chic look.
This is one Pre-Fall collection that leaves fans wondering what Sternberg has in store for fall.
