Bamboo Laptop - Asus EcoBook (GALLERY)
[Edit]
Bamboo is one of the hottest eco products on the market, particularly for interior design projects like floors and cabinets. Lately there’s been a rise in bamboo gadgets though, like the stunning Asus EcoBook.
Anyone familiar with the sustainable material will recognize right away that the laptop is made of bamboo. The grass has a very distinct design that environmentally aware designers instantly pick up on.
Slashgear was able to nab these images, but weren’t able to get any details on the product.
“It appears to have a 15.4” screen, and look like a standard laptop, just with extra coatings of bamboo,” according to Slashgear. “No word on details of the specs, anywhere, but I have seen guess of a ULV processor, and others say it uses Core 2 Duo, the latter seems more likely.”
Asus released a bamboo EcoBook around the same time last year, seen here, but they weren’t nearly as nice looking. The insides were lined either in a matching bamboo or in a cardboard liner.
All of the EcoBooks, past and prsent, makes a statement;, a very green, slightly geeky one.
