In case you haven't heard, Natwerk has produced a product called Bacon Hagelslag, which is essentially bacon sprinkles and bacon bits. Meant to be thrown on top of ice cream, salads, or any kind of main course, Bacon Hagelslag or bacon sprinkles are meant to be the bacon version of the chocolate condiment Dutch people put on toast.

The item has 521 backers and has raised $8,702 and counting. Although it's debated you can purchase a similar product in grocery stores for a fraction of the price, Hagelslag appears to be a passionate enough endeavor in Holland for people to get behind.

The shelf life of the product is anywhere up to 6 months as long as it's kept in a cool environment.
