Interestingly, with the economic conditions we face, her books and economic philosophy directly confront the underlying problems, and she’s enjoying a resurgence of popularity among many looking for foundational answers. Amazingly, first editions of Atlas Shrugged are now going for over $4,000 if they’re unclipped and include their original dust jacket. There were only 100,000 printed. Now that a renewed interest has emerged, sales of Rand’s books have grown an amazing 300 percent over recent years, and remember, she was doing well as it was.
