Daan Botlek's awesome street art is a hidden gem that peeks through condemned buildings in Berlin, fostering a new home for dreams of white silhouettes.
His ghostly captures execute a daring escape from rooftops, doorways to complete a series he dubs as, 'Escape from Wuhlheide.' The artist lays his white figures overtop existing graffiti to give a popping effect.
A lot of his work is left up to interpretation, for instance a white figure climbing a ladder is latched on to two other figures below, unsure if it's pulling them up or being pulled down. Nevertheless, thanks to street artists like Botlek, you can never be sure what's hiding around street corners and abandoned buildings until you work up the curiosity—or perhaps the courage—to look for yourself.
