Katsuya Kamo is a Tokyo-based master hair stylist and make-up artist.

The work shown in the gallery illustrates a very quirky and outlandish, but very artistic, style. Furthermore, Kamo’s male and female models display a series of headwear with a very rich palette and wide range of vibrant, vivid colors. At the same time, he employs an extremely impenetrable shade of black in some of his nondescript designs.

Kamo’s style is hard to describe, but I recognize a common theme in the way he uses feathers and avian motifs.
