Following in the footsteps of other industry giants who have already released automotive smartwatch apps, 'Volvo' has just unveiled its own clever new car controlled application for smartwatch devices. The new app is essentially an updated version of the original 'Volvo On Call' app, but it comes with a number of exciting new features.

Compatible with both Android Wear and the new Apple Watch, the Volvo app will allow users to locate their car in a crowded parking lot and remotely lock or unlock it without reaching for their keys. One of the other exciting features of the app is the ability to digitally control the climate of your car. Volvo drivers can now automatically crank the heater on a cold winter's morning, or dial up the A/C on a scorching summer day.

Similar to other automotive smartwatch apps, the Volvo app also lets users check their car's mileage and fuel tank levels. With so many features now accessible straight from a smartwatch, the Volvo app gives drivers the freedom to control the features of the car anytime and anyplace.
