Australia Bans Santa's Traditional "Ho Ho Ho" as Ebonics

Thanksgiving marks graduation day for many aspiring Kris Kringles. However, this year in Australia, Santa’s were warned not to use the traditional “Ho Ho Ho” greeting, as it has bad connotations in some communities and shows disrespect to women.

Give me a break already, I wonder what animal rights activists think of the lyrics to the holiday song, “Dominick the Donkey.”  Plus, my grandma always said “If the shoe fits wear it,” so if you hear “Ho Ho Ho” and don’t turn around to stare down the fat guy in the white beard carrying a $100 bill, who said it, then it’s not offensive, right?

Santas in Australia's largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "ho ho ho" greeting because it may be offensive to women, it was reported Thursday. Sydney's Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say "ha ha ha" instead, the Daily Telegraph reported. One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper a recruitment firm warned him not to use "ho ho ho" because it could frighten children and was too close to "ho", a US slang term for prostitute.
