Audi fans around the world got a chance to be in a race car show by participating in the Audi Fan Messenger interactive message play. Essentially, a device installed inside a race car enabled fans to write messages that projected out as light messages in long exposure photos.
At the 24 Hours Nürburgring, one of the world’s most famous race events, Audi installed an LED device inside an Audi R8 LMS that beamed light messages in the air while the race car sped away. Audi collected fan messages on its Facebook page and inserted them into Audi Fan Messenger that illuminated the night with messages. The collected images where placed in an online Audi gallery where fans were able to see a collage of messages.
Audi cleverly boosts its reputation by including fans into its events, creating more exposure and loyalty to its luxury brand cars.
