Barbecue is an essential part of the summer culinary experience, but this Asian burger recipe lets you change up an Americana staple. From the blog Bev Cooks, the Asian Beef Burgers with a Shiitake Saute are for people who love mushrooms on their burgs and aren't afraid to experiment with some culinary fusion.

Great to serve as a dinner party, the burgers are described as a "forest beauty" with properties that are earthy, fleshy, spongy and almost medicinal. The Asian burger can be mostly prepped in the morning. The beef burgers integrate ginger, garlic, soy sauce, bread crumbs and cilantro, where as the shiitake mushroom topping calls for scallions, olive and sesame oil too. The recipe also includes a bun sauce made of mayonnaise, sesame oil, soy sauce and minced cilantro.
