The Ascent Table Light Has a Lampshade that Slides Freely Up and Down

When you first set eyes on the Ascent Table Light, you might wonder about the object's composition. It could seem as though you're viewing the lamp from the precise angle at which the stand arches forwards to support its lampshade -- but no, the beam-blocking component is actually fed right through the pole.

Daniel Rybakken's piece comprises this central spine that looks to have been inspired by a simple walking stick. Made in either white or black, the post has a broad grip for a base that allows it to be placed securely on level, elevated surfaces. The capsule-shaped lampshade is pierced through the middle, gripping the cane at its crown, but it's able to be slipped up and down the shaft. The Ascent Table Light can thus emit luminescence with a large or a small radius, depending on how high or low it's set up. Stats for Adjustable Cane Illuminators Trending: Older & Chilly
