Last month, the first production-ready Artega GT sports cars rolled off the line. This German sports car continues that country's rich automotive tradition with a design with bodywork composed entirely of polyurethane--the first car in the world with such a composition. According to Artega, the roof and bonnet of the Artega GT contain paper honeycomb, and the underbody is an aluminum honeycomb alloy.

These unusual modifications ensure that the Artega GT is lightweight but rigid. With a 300-bhp 3.6-liter V6 engine, this speedy little sports car can rocket from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. Not bad! Stats for Polyurethane Sports Cars Trending: Older & Mild
