Art and technology comes together in Vlad Tenu's creative process and design research. His most recent collection demonstrates an integration of computation, science and technology in the way he discovers new ideas. He's a roman architect and artist, and through Synthetic Nature, he makes a set of prototypes created by his holistic architectural design research and the genesis of form and space.
Throughout the art is an analogy with the molecular behavior of soap bubbles, which involve nature's algorithms, geometrical constraints and mathematical relationships. The design process is focused on periodic minimal surfaces and challenges the concepts of multi-dimensional symmetry and repetition.
The shoe challenges the idea of artifact by creating a series of morphological design species and explores new spatial qualities.
