The Champiot quadcycle has been billed as “The Great Rowing Machine on Wheels.” It’s obvious why the main locomotive power is via the arms. This bicycle innovation provides upper body exercise unlike the traditional bicycles which work just the legs.

Beside the fun and fitness angle, the Champiot Armpower X also offers amputees and people who have limited use of their legs a chance to enjoy cycling. Unlike the Champiot Ultra, Champiot Armpower X users steer with the handlebars. Another model, the Armpower Hybrid, gives the rider the option to switch to motor-drive, making it a great lightweight mobility equipment for paraplegics or people who are unable to row.

According to the manufacturers, all the quadcycles can be transported by car using the same type of bicycle racks.
