The Antonio Marras Fall 2014 Collection appeals to the hopeless romantic through sensible charm and virtue. The Marras runway never emerges anywhere in Milan, making the art-tinged collection all the more special.
For fall, the Sardinian designer is using snow-jumping wolves as inspiration, offering these woodsy images as prints on duchesse satin, intricate beading arrangements and recreations in illustrations on the front of crystal-covered knitwear.
The models' hair have a touch of the wild factor as they’re wrapped into waves on either side of the head like fox ears. The workmanship at a Marras show is always something worth noting as the collection beholds layers of fur, embroidery and sturdy wools. The romantic gestures put forth by the collection are irresistible and recall the age of peasantry fused with royal demeanor.
