Anneke Short Uses Simple Prints to Set the Record Straight About Design

Used properly, computers are fantastic tools to foster creativity, especially in the design space; however, in her series ‘Confessions of a Designer’ artist Anneke Short comically sets the record straight about what it means to be a “real” designer.

These minimalist posters are honest reflections about the reality of being graphic designers. Every poster has a background of a different color and a comical message in a white font. She discusses topics like PCs versus Macs, Comic Sans and Photoshop. The messages are hilarious because of their simply straight-up honesty.

Although I’m a designer, I can feel the artistic frustration of Anneke Short and her need to defend the reputation of her colleagues and field.
